so how do people feel about this? - should it be taught that having two same gender parents is normal?
isn't this a form of ideological brainwashing?
Only in the minds of today's rabid conservatives. They consider nearly all education these days to be a form of left-wing ideological brainwashing. Science and knowledge are frowned upon. The Bible is their science textbook.
I'm a bit out of touch with exactly what is taught in schools these days, but last I heard, homosexual practices were taught in sex education.
not sure at what ages, but I imagine around the 13-14 year old bracket.
is this true, and is this a correct state of affairs?
heh ... try this one on for size .. The Liberal Agenda never ends ..
Quote:
According to the 62-page draft proposal, beginning in kindergarten, school nurses will teach students proper terms such as "nipple, breast, penis, ******* and uterus." Once they are promoted to first grade, children will learn that sexual relations could happen between two men or two women. By the time students are 10 years old, instruction will include the various ways people can have intercourse, be it vaginally, orally or through "anal penetration," according to the proposal.
Child Pornography comes to mind when I read stuff like this .. How can a seven year old grasp all of the sexual baggage that today's adults have to dump on them. If you think kids are confused now .. just wait .. the party's only just now getting started.
The fact that even C-D edits out words that these kids will be taught is quite telling, and shows how totally out of line and inappropriate this agenda is.
How in depth sex ed is, whether heterosexual or homosexual, too often depends to what degree the teacher thinks it should be unfortunately. If sex ed is going to be taught it ought to have a standard curriculum that is the same across the board, without deviation. And it should be made public. Regardless, parents ought to be able to opt their child out.
Some are crazy, some are dangerous sociopaths, some are immoral people with perverted sexual proclivities, all of whom young people should be taught to stay far way from. It's not wrong to teach children to avoid things that can harm them.
The bolded is a true statement, but homosexuals are not any more harmful to children than heterosexuals...I met more than a few same sex parents when my kids were in school, and they were fine people.

I have kids that age. They don't teach any "practices" in our school, gay or straight. They do talk about birth control, STDs, changes your body will go through in puberty, and the human reproductive cycle and the basic mechanics of how pregnancy occurs. If you're thinking they sit down and diagram out...um...activities, you would be wrong.
Do they teach hetrosexual technique in school? How neat. We had to learn by experiment with each other. That was awkward even if I had some very good amature teachers.
Kenneth Kaunda and Western Pilgrim should really get together at a cheap motel and have at each other. It seems like every post they make deals with homosexuality. They should just stop denying their basic urges and indulge them.
Be sure to smoke a cigarette afterwards.
