Sex is what it is, and should be taught at the appropriate ages .. So far, it's only the Gay Agenda that's suggesting (strongly pushing) 6 and 7 year olds be taught because they are afraid that these children may very well end up being straight as they get older.
This is absotlute bladerdash. It's been shown that those children who know about sex early enough, make more sound decisions when they are older. This is where Astiencne Only education fails. And sex education isn't about teaching sex. It covers everything from biology (how the reproduction systme works in both male and females), puberty, contraception, safe sex, STD's, and in some classes preventative care (for women and men - it covers topics about getting Pap Smears and breast examiniations, and for men, to check prostate health when they are older)

Labeling it as the "Gay Agenda' only shows how ignorant you are on the whole issue.

Its never too young to learn about sex. I did fine and through my education, I never had an issue with STD's, never got pregnant too young, and do my yearly preventative care to make sure I'm the picture of health.

The rest of your blather is nothing but a showcase in ignorance.

I know children are smart but I also know they are not all developmentally at the same place.
Tiered system. Graudated learning. Simple concept. You teach according to education level. By 10 years old, teachers and students should know the ABC and 123's about sex. there is no reason that a 10 year old should not have the absolute basic understanding of sex.

I know that not all teachers are equipped to handle this subject.
Then they need to buck up, get a backbone and learn how to handle the subject. It isn't rocket science. If they can talk about math, then can surely talk about a basic biological function of the human body.

Children are not best raised by a village, they are best raised by families.
Children are best raised by the village. Through my experience since I attended a school with a high amount of teenage pregnancies, due to polices put in place by the PRUDISH parent teacher association and school district, its Very rare that a child will get the right type of "education" from their families.

my good friend throughout middle school thought that her period was the "sign" of the devil and that she was being punished for all the bad deeds she did in the month. Im not freaking kidding. It WAS I , who at 14, had to teach her what her period was and what it meant (and it was her mother who opted her out of any sex education class offered). It was only a year later, that she became another statistic in teenage pregnancy.

Besides, you can teach children to be safe without teaching about sex.

try it. without telling them why, they will just look at you strangely.

I support Gay Rights too .. I don't support indoctrination of our children because someone with a political agenda thinks that not enough children in this country are Gay, or that these kids need to be taught how to procreate before they are 10.

The only ignorance I see is the blatant disregard that the Left of center in this country shows for our children. And you even said it yourself .. in so many words .. Gays are afraid of what a child might be taught at home by their Parents ..

Whoopty freakin do ... It's "not" their choice to make. As parents .. It's ours.

Here's a wake up call for you and your faux argument of ignorance .. We, as Parents, reserve the right to teach our 4, 5, 6, and 7 year olds anything we want ...

You never read the link me thinks

The indoctrination being done is by the RWNJ who think the "gays" are icky, and think that equal treatment under teh US Constitution is not for them.

There is no indoctrination of our children. teaching our children about sex is not indoctrination. Only those who wish to spread ignorance use this line of reasoning

Montana Parents Weigh In on Proposed Kindergarten Sex Ed | Fox News

Child Pornography comes to mind when I read stuff like this .. How can a seven year old grasp all of the sexual baggage that today's adults have to dump on them. If you think kids are confused now .. just wait .. the party's only just now getting started.

The fact that even C-D edits out words that these kids will be taught is quite telling, and shows how totally out of line and inappropriate this agenda is.
I agree.

There are perverts running the schools if this is what is being proposed.

The Montana Family Foundation is fighting the proposed changes, telling Fox News its biggest concern is teaching graphic sexual detail to kids who are not emotionally able to process or comprehend it. If the changes pass, kids as young as 5 will begin to learn medically accurate names for a number of both male and female "private parts."[LEFT]

What is wrong with teaching children the proper names for body parts?
We don't have cutsey names for leg, or arm, Why for other body parts? My son was taught the proper names from the beginning, and nothing has happened except that he can use the proper name.

Education about sex does not come from osmosis. the options are to let people remain ignorant and learn hard lessons or teach and perhaps prevent bad experiences.

Speaking of sex does not cause kids to have sex.... they will do that anyway. Arming them with ways to make better choices, that can even save their life or protect the health of others is important. It doesn't mean you are turning it into pornographic studies, but rather education.

Both sexual experiences should be discussed as one doesn't know who needs the info. so yes some may hear something not needed for them but they too can afford to be informed ...who knows who they can teach.

but girl on girl does seem to appeal to a lot of men.

Indoctrination is what it is .. Gay sex or not, sex ed shouldn't be taught to first graders .. Health class for first graders should include things like personal hygene .. wash hands, brush teeth, keep fingers out of your mouth, don't drink out of other peoples glasses .. you know, that sort of stuff.

Teach them things they can apply to their daily living ... Teaching or otherwise showing them things that can't be used in the practical sense will not only frustrate and confuse them, it will also serve to distract them from learning the essential things that kids at that age need to learn.

We don't teach first graders how to drive Dad's Buick for a reason .. We teach them these things when the time is right, when the knowledge can be applied directly. Teaching first graders about Gay sex, or any sex at all is not too unlike teaching them how to drive .. It's useless information for them because not only can they not apply what they're being taught, their thought processes with regard to the abstract are only just starting, or are still under development.
