You're either a liar or completely ignorant because the reality is EVERYONE pays taxes in America and the total tax rate is almost completely flat in America.

You'll notice that each bracket pays pretty close in percentage points of how much percentage of income they earn. America's taxes are extremely flat when you look at total taxation because EVERYTHING other than income tax is regressive. The FACT that someone making a little over $1,000 per month has to pay $175 in total taxes is absurd. That leaves them $825 for food, cloths and rent. That is not a lot at all.
Now at the top of the heap are people making a lot over $100,000 per month and having to pay $33,000 in total taxes per month. That leaves them only a mere $66,000 left over for food, cloths and rent. How can anyone survive on so little?
