Ummm black bench, direct sunlight, high temps, is this woman mentally handicapped?

The average human would have learned to NOT sit directly on that bench about age five, OR at least test it with her hand first.

Cases like this should never even make it to court.

Yeah, it did.

But Harrier was searching for Sir-Mix-A-Lot references, and thought that this thread should be revived.

It is a perfect example of liberal nonsense.

Who was stupider, the guy who decided to
put a black marble bench in the Dallas sun,
or the fool who just plopped down on it?
No doubt ya could cook on it today if it were still there.

Not unlike the woman who sued McDonalds because she burned her crotch when the lid came off her coffee.
I buy a cup of coffee I dont try to guess how hot it is I assume it is very hot. It goes no where near my crotch.
This country is sue happy and we wonder why it costs so much to go to the doctor.

The McDonald's coffee case was far more complicated than you're making it out to be. She had 3rd degree burns for crying out loud.

Even still, anyone pulling a cup of coffee into their car window in a drive through can easily drop it and spill it on themselves. That means it could've happened to you too.

And this country isn't sue happy. That's a bunch of right wing nonsense.

Come now she had the cup between her thighs.
Like I said before when I get a cup of coffee I assume that it is really hot. Fortunately the amount was she was awarded was drastically lowered.
And we are sue happy. Every warning lable on a ladder is the result of lawsuits. Who would guess that if you stand on the top step the ladder might tip?
Is there a nation anywhere in the world that logs as many lawsuits as this nation? NO
Why do our Doctors need to carry more mal practice insurance than doctors anywhere else?
Why do we pay so much for auto insurance?

It takes a special kind of stupid to not realize that things that sit out in the sun IN TEXAS might get hot.

This sounds like an act of God to me.
