Yes lies, by YOU.

But then again it is typical revisionist history by the right, you must have missed it when all the Dem Leg Reps left the state in protest to the Repugs redrawing the district lines until over a year after they should have (based on the census) they waited until they had a majority so they could do as they pleased. They sliced and diced Democratic districts that they could not win, simple as that buckaroo, you can fool yourself, but this Texan says you are either utterly confused what happened here in Texas or you are a typical right-wing liar, so which is it?

It's not like Chicago has a small portion of Illinois' population and gets all of the money and all of the voting power. So, no, Chicagoland does not force laws on people. They are voted on and passed because Chicagoland has the majority of Illinois' population.
We're a Republic not a democracy. In a democracy the majority can do whatever they wish to the minority. In a Republic the majority is limited in order to the protect the rights of the minority. The founders referred to the tyranny of the majority and intentionally made this country non-democratic in order to prevent it.

The majority in IL may be in Chicago, but that gives them no right to tell the rest of the residents how to live their lives.
