We stick our nose in the rest of the world because if we didn't you'd get the third world selling or making Nukes and trading or selling them around like bubble gum; and the USA would get the nukes blown up here because some Islamic Theocracy leader would not have the balls to tell their people that they (not the west) and the way they live is their problem.
In other words, we have to so we can keep the peace. What peace is that? Don't you see that these small uprisings are products of our creation so we can go in and conquer? The U.S. and Israel together have more nukes than any other countries, we have actually used atomic weapons on Japan twice. We spend billions on developing everymore horrific weapons to kill in more barbaric ways.
Iran is pursuing nuclear energy for medical uses, but we are forcing them to deter that research to self defense. We are not interested in negotiation or ending the bloodshed, we are the aggressors.

The US intelligence apparatus has created it own terrorist organizations. And at the same time, it creates its own terrorist warnings concerning the terrorist organizations which it has itself created. Meanwhile, a cohesive multibillion dollar counterterrorism program "to go after" these terrorist organizations has been put in place.
Instead of “war” or “state terrorism”, we are told of “humanitarian intervention” directed against "terrorists".
Instead of “offence”, we are told of “defense” or “protection”.
Instead of “mass murder” we are told of “collateral damage”.
A good versus evil dichotomy prevails. The perpetrators of war are presented as the victims. Public opinion is misled: “We must fight against evil in all its forms as a means to preserving the Western way of life.”

Syria vows to work with new UN envoy as fighting rages
Syria's deputy foreign minister Faisal Muqdad accused neighbouring Turkey of providing the rebels with arms and rear bases, as Turkish and US officials held talks on hastening President Bashar al-Assad's fall.
Muqdad said Damascus would cooperate with Brahimi, the veteran Algerian diplomat named as UN-Arab League envoy to replace former UN chief Kofi Annan after his announcement on August 2 that he was stepping down following the failure to implement his six-point peace plan.

I don't know if this is trustworthy, but it sounds right. The gov't of Syria wants an end to this by peaceful means.

A high ranking Russian Navy official said in an interview that Russia would evacuate its navy base
at Tartus, Syria if Syria comes under hostile attack... but only on orders from Vladimir Putin.
Indeed, the comprehensive attack launched by the extremists against Damascus ended – even with the recognition of Western media outlets - with massive losses. Hence, the force which included local mercenaries and jihadists from around the world was completely annihilated by the Syrian army that is pursuing the remnants on the outskirts of the capital. As a result, tons of weapons were confiscated and the heavy infrastructure of the armed groups was dismantled and destroyed, which will require months to reconstruct if the armed groups are ever able to do so.
The outcome of the Aleppo battle on the other hand is known in advance, as the extremists are falling by the thousands in the face of the methodic progress of the army which was able to fully sever the supply lines of the mercenaries who came from the training camps led by the CIA in Turkey. Consequently, the armed gangs can no longer deliver reinforcements without having to pay a hefty price. At this level, European Union Intelligence Chief French national Patrice Bergamini recognized in an interview with the Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar on Friday 17 August the important role played by the jihadists at the level of the Syrian conflict, stressing that the Western public was now aware of the threat they represented. It is clear that the Syrian army’s cleansing of the city of Aleppo and its countryside is now a mere question of time.
What is going on in Syria is unfortunate. Unfortunately when you rid yourself of one douche you will find a dozen more to take their place and make things even worse.
I hope the people continue to rise up and end the rule of Asad, but I am concerned with his replacement. It is obvious the US has no resolution for a good leader (Iraq) so I'm not sure what we can do to actually help them. the over throw is easy, the rebuild is the challenge.

He is their President, it's none of our business. The problem is that we have instigated this uprising, we are paying and supplying these outsiders to go into this country, wreak havoc and overturn their legitimate gov't. The people of America must inform themselves of what is really going on, so we can say no more. In other words don't buy into the lies the media is feeding us.
