Abortion? If you really care about not killing human being, why don't I see you protesting when we sent soldiers to kill others?
Gay marriage? If you really care about just people who love each other, why don't I see you advocating polygamy? They love each other too.
Gun control? When did a gun ever kill someone? Something called human always need to pull the trigger. How about we focus on controlling those human who commit crimes?
By the way, are these really important? How about government deficit, inflation, education, economy, foreign policy? How about this one, our freedom?

Heavily charged emotion, when it's not money, drives politics big time and politicians want to work it big time. A lot of people get very emotionally upset and show it over the thought that same sex marriage across the country might become legal or not enough effort being done to further restrict abortion or outright ban it. It's just not as easy to get highly emotional upset and disturbed over Obama's government deficit, inflation, education, economy and foreign policy.

My views.
War- only to defend our nation.
Abortion- It is a womans choice.
Gay marriage/ polygamy- Both should be legal. Gay marriage can use the existing laws for marriage. Polygamy would require new laws to handle more people.
Gun control- I'm fine with requiring some type of registration including classes for concealed carry.
How these are important?
Personally, as a lesbian, I think that I deserve the same rights and privileges that any other American citizen is granted.
I don't think that people should tell a woman what she can do with her body. We need to stop trying to be the worlds police service, and deal with our own problems
As a gun owner. I think that criminals will always have guns. More laws on guns don't hurt them, they hurt those of who follow the laws.
As for our freedom. It would be nice, except politicians, and the religious, are constantly trying to take away my freedom as a woman, and a lesbian.
