An intellectual's opinion, Dr. Walter Williams:
Walter Williams is not an intellectual, he's an ideologue.

Nothing in the opinion you cite has anything to do with intellectual study or understanding, it's just one fringe opinion.

He's also wrong. If there were a woman with the ability to play quarterback in the NFL she'd be in the lineup this Sunday.

What he has to say about the choices of private membership associations and family choices has nothing to do with businesses regulated by the law.

You don't like our Vermont laws? Feel free to come up and explain to us why they're unjust.

The problem is, you're wrong, repeatedly.

There is no "attack" on liberty. You still have the right to believe whatever you want, no matter how profoundly stupid it might be. Your right to your religion is safe. The private property argument fails on logic too. Too many people seem to think that because it's their property, they can do whatever they want on it. You never actually had that right, as there have always been regulations and restrictions on property rights.

Seriously, learn the law.

I know what the law is. I know our tyrants have decided that they can infringe on the property and religious rights of others. I know that the natural rights of association and the rights of property have been trampled upon. I also know these tyrannical laws are wrong and an attack on our Constitution.

Which part of the constitution is being attacked?

I still can't figure out what renting a space (or not renting a space to lesbians) has to do with the religious rights of anybody.

Who decides your religious practices? Yourself, or someone else?

Law-abiding citizens heading to the gas chamber after having their property and religious rights violated they will suffer one final blow.

Sometimes the law is an ass.

This is the strangest post I've seen all week. What the **** does the holocaust have to do with this?

Here, if you'd like to address my question, I'll ask it more precisely: How does renting a hall (or a hotel room, or a lawn mower) to a lesbian couple infringe on the right of a Catholic to practice Catholicism?

What you fail to understand is that your right to practice your religious beliefs extends only to yourself, not others.
