As more Mexican-Americans come to political power, they will certainly bring their cultural basics into our politics. They will just apply those basics to different situations.

In one way, the current fever to deport all Mexican illegals is going to have a big consequence. The illegals WILL become legal citizens, as that is the only way the ever-shifting tides of acceptance and resentment end for them. The other big consequences is once they become citizens, they want their children to be educated. The lack of education has always been the greatest block for the Mexican workers. When they are here for good, they are no longer wanting their kids to join them in the fields like they once did.

It takes Mexicans longer to assimilate because of their language than it does Canadians, but like Canada, Mexicans know much more about the United States than we know of them. The language barrier only lasts for one generation, and second generation Mexican-Americans grow up just like Anglo kids and Canadian-American kids do. Both are quickly assimilated.
Not true. Prior to the convenience of pressing 1 or 2 for English they simply lived within their enclaves and had others translate in order to rape the American taxpayers for free everything. Now that everything is conveniently translated to Spanish, there is no need for illegal aliens to learn English. There are hispanics that have been here for decades who cannot speak one word of English.

The fact is, Americans love many aspects of Mexican culture. We now eat more salsa than ketchup, and that's just one part of the culture's absorption into our Anglo culture. We all have more Spanish and Spanglish words in our common vocabulary than we have ever had. It is no longer unusual to know someone who is fully or partly of Mexican heritage here.

I believe that it won't be long until we have a President with a Latin last name, whose heritage will probably be Mexican. That President could also be a woman.
Some Americans love it, personally, I hate the sound of spanish and the food is nothing special either. but then I'm not anglo. That being said, personally, my experience is that most are racist towards Black Americans and they don't exactly care for anglos either. As for your comment about a President with a latin last name, if the stupid idiots in our government keep ignoring our laws in the name of hispandering for votes, the ethnocentrics will vote for their own to ensure that we not only have a latin President but they will also ensure that we cease being the USA and become an extension of latin America.

Wrong. We have never wanted to be like any other country, so don't be silly. Try to focus, dear.

There are those who are planning a "North American Union". Also referred to as "La Union Americana" where Mexico just absorbs the USA and they will dominate our government.

Vicente Fox talked very openly about the Mexican diapsora and it's control over USA politics and elections. They even have flags where they show a the USA and Mexican flags combined into one -- that way future Olympic silver medal winners wouldn't have to do two flags.

I do like and enjoy authentic spanish food, which i have had from friends, and what a difference in taste. However when you have to hear spanish music, blasting for hours on end, it can make a person nuts, no offense.

The hispandering for the hispanic vote, quite obvious, is sickening to me. Before we know it, the way this Country seems to be going, it won't be long before all States see an extension of latin America.

Almost like those born in this Country, we Americans don't quite matter anymore.

Given the Democrats' recent success folllowing a strategy very similar to that of PRI, and their support in some industries such as cable television and cellular telephones (which rely heavily on call centers, the haciendas of the present job market), I believe a revival of this subject may be in order.

Also it was the Mexican vote that got Obama his win this time. Obama's 2012 popular vote was 10 million lower than it was in 2008, many American voters obviously lost their enthusiasm for him because he never delivered on the promised jobs and better economy. The illegals truly believe that Obama is going to deliver their amnesty -- and they don't care about the economy or jobs for the American people.

There is also the possibility of a single currency as well. This weakening of the dollar may very well be on purpose.

I am so in agreement. The pandering for hispanic votes will result in the end of American sovereignty and reduce this country to a spanish speaking, majority welfare recipient, overpopulated, more corrupt version of 3rd world latin America. In it's current state we only have a hand full of taxpayers left.

My dislike of many; NOT all things "Mexican" is well known here on CDF.

But: Mexicans DON'T have big families anymore so they'll soon have to raise wages IN Mexico or the place will fall apart.

Back on topic: I can see the PRI and Dem link and I can also see the Dem party breaking up.
