I don't need to be determined.
I only need to read Thomas Jefferson and other Deists to know that the "God" in which they trusted was the God of Reason and not the idiot Yahweh or the charlatan Jesus, who is descended of Moabites and banned from entering the assembly of the Lord according to
Nehemiah 13:1 On that day the book of Moses was read aloud in the hearing of the people. They found written in it that no Ammonite or Moabite may ever enter the assembly of God.
Ruth was a Moabite, so her son Jesse was a Moabite, and so was his son Obed, and so was his son King David -- who is rotting in Hell right now.
Deuteronomy 23:3 An Ammonite or Moabite may not enter the assembly of the Lord; to the tenth generation none of their descendants shall ever do so.
The 10th Generation would include Jesus the Moabite of Nazareth banned from Heaven by Yahweh, but then that depends on which genealogy you believe is true, because the Genealogy of Jesus by Matthew contradicts the Genealogy of Jesus by Luke.
Perhaps you can help us determine which of these blatant contradictions by the Great Infallible Yahweh is true.
As far as "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, I understand that Congress was tremendously disappointing that "dictators are taking over the world" no longer resulted in the appropriate knee-jerking actions by Americans, and so it was changed to "godless communists" to frighten Americans.
The last time I ever recited the Pledge of Allegiance, was the last Monday in May just before graduation. I was the student body president, and read the morning announcements, which included the Pledge of Allegiance on Mondays.
I never once recited the Pledge during my 10 years of military service, in spite of the numerous formal functions I attended. The Pledge of Allegiance is incompatible with the oath taken to protect the US Constitution, which is probably why no one in the US military ever recites the Pledge.

Yes, I can ignore it, because there is nothing biblical about it.
Your 7 day week comes from the Sumerians, in particular from
Enuma elish....
Sumerian Cosmogony was written on 7 clay tablets. The year was 360 days with a 5-day intercalated period that fell over the time of the Spring Equinox, which was the start of the New Year -- or New Year's Day if you prefer.
On the last day of the year, a priest -- oh, like Terah who was the high priest for Lord Ninurta -- would take the 1st clay tablet, climb the steps of the ziggurat in Ur with his protege tagging along behind him --- uh, that would have been Abrahm --- and read the 1st tablet of the 7 tablets of creation to the crowd that had gathered below.
The next 5 tables of creation were then read over the 5-day intercalated period.
Finally, on the 1st day of the New Year, the 7th table of creation was read aloud to the people below.
Abrahm was born in Nippur and moved to the city of Ur at age 10, right?
That makes Abrahm an "Iraqi."

I can ignore it as long as you continue to ignore the very obvious and blatant contradictions in your bible.

Of course I can ignore them. X-Mas and Easter were pagan holidays long before one of the pope's co-opted them.
And before they were pagan holidays, they were non-religious holidays celebrated by all peoples on Earth.

And if you are an American who speaks English, you can't get away from saying things like "goodbye", which means simply "God be with you", or receiving a "bless you" from others when you sneeze.
Worst of all, the English language itself, as spoken in the United States, is permeated with biblical and Christian allusions that are impossible to avoid.
Here's a list of 122 English phrases bound to drive an atheist to madness. Enjoy.

If you are not a catholic, then you cannot ignore the fact that you are recognizing and lending credence, power and authority to the Pope.
Because all of those things did not come from "christians" rather they came from the Imperial Roman Catholic Church -- specifically from various popes.
If you celebrate Thanksgiving, then you cannot ignore the fact that you are lending credence to the Puritans -- a group of people hated by every christian on Earth for their fanatical puritanical beliefs -- which is why the Puritans fled Britain.
The Puritans banned Christmas -- and birthdays and many other holidays celebrated by christians, so it's contradictory to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Pointing out the obvious....

Well, sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.
In order to avoid being fired by their christian bosses and being harassed by their christian co-workers, many atheists just play along.
Ironically...
