Why? It would be a lie. The Democratic Party is not behind these events. It may support them.

How is that awkward? Liberals oppose basic human rights and personal freedoms too. Sounds like a match to me.
Liberals CONTEND that they are the force supporting human rights and personal liberties. However, thier actions are always in direct contrast to those principles; the tenets of liberalism are more akin to fascism. Oddly, the Nazis and the Muslims saw eye to eye, as most tyrants do.

That's not really the issue. The poutrage manufacturers working for The Blaze are establishing a narrative where the Catholic Church is discriminated against and another faith - in this case, Islam - is being given preferential treatment by the DNC. As has been demonstrated, it's a lie. The accusation is intended to reflect on the DNC.
I don't think anyone is surprised that Muslims feel safer exercising their First Amendment rights in the company of Democrats.
