I wonder if he will get attacked and called a socialist. I see his point and understand his frustration. Why is this even an issue up for debate. Doesn't seem to happen in other industrialized nations.

You missed Bill Nye's point. He stated that creationists are doing a disservice to their kids and our country when they raise them to be creationist. So it isn't a matter of, oh well, they are just wrong. There are consequenceces.

There are and this issue may come back and hurt us at some point in something more relevant to the people that taught creationism, such as jobs and innovation.
I think they should teach in science classes that evolution is our best theory, and they should teach Creationism in religious studies classes as being what Jews, Christians and Muslims believe. It's that simple.
