Can't rep you again, but that's the same thought I had.

One has to have photo ID to drive a car but not prove who they are to vote? Only the left wants this.

Again, I am a true conservative. Cars were unknown to the Founding Fathers. Driving a motorized vehicle is, as many have noted before, a 'privilege' not a 'right'.

To compare the absolute 'right' to vote for your representative with laws about driving, drinking, etc, is the hallmark of the 'liberal' who wants Government in every aspect of your life.

You think liberals want government in your life. Really, what about the republicans who want to push their their social agendas on us and have constitutional amendments to do so. You even want government in our bedrooms. How do you explain this

Exactly and Insuring that right is not diluted by fraudulent votes is just as important as the right itself.

I would rather that ten fraudulent votes be cast, than one true vote be denied.
That's not acceptable, we need to strive towards 0 fraudulant votes and no one be denied. Even small numbers of fraudulent votes are unacceptable especially when you consider the 2000 election.

The PA law was enacted in March. During the April primary they asked for ID but it wasn't required to vote. It's been widely reported in the news since then. Every registered voter in the state without a corresponding PA ID including those that may have other acceptable forms of ID was sent a letter informing them of the law. Last but not least if you don't have a valid ID on election day you can use a provisional ballot but that has a 6 or 10 day time constraint on it to provide ID.

At this point in time you would have to live under a rock to not know what the law is.

More than 1000 felons voted illegally in the election that Franken won by 312 votes. 243 of them have been convicted of voter fraud or are awaiting trial.

York: When 1,099 felons vote in race won by 312 ballots | WashingtonExaminer.com

....... that's a total of 243 people either convicted of voter fraud or awaiting trial in an election that was decided by 312 votes. With 1,099 examples identified by Minnesota Majority, and with evidence suggesting that felons, when they do vote, strongly favor Democrats, it doesn't require a leap to suggest there might one day be proof that Al Franken was elected on the strength of voter fraud.
Now you're down to possibly a 70 vote margin and this is just the felons that have been identified as voting illegally.

113 listed by name that were convicted at the end of this document:

We believe that these 113 cases represent the largest number of convictions for voter fraud obtained in
any state for any one election in the last 75 years. It is of particular concern to Minnesota Majority that it
required research from an outside group as well as intense public pressure and local and national media
attention to achieve even this level of enforcement of the state’s election statutes.

Far more ineligible voters cast fraudulent votes than are reflected by the 113 convictions obtained to date.
As many as 2,803 ineligible felons may have cast ballots in the 2008 general election, but as previously
noted, most were not charged due to claims of ignorance of the law. The common expression, “ignorance
of the law is no excuse” doesn’t apply to Minnesota statute 201.014, which reads in part, “Any individual
who votes who knowingly is not eligible to vote is guilty of a felony.”

......that's just the felons.

Or to understand that the true intent of these GOP designed law changes have zero to do with voter fraud.
