The reason young people support Obama: gay marriage

It is foolish to assume a handful of callers to a radio show are a representative sample of under 30 Americans. They almost certainly aren't.

With young people it's social issues over financial/economic issues.
They haven't become hardened with life yet.

But this forum is...and most of the hate and spite against the GOP in this board is due to their stance on gay marriage and abortion and support from the religious right. A lot more people agree with them on other issues (but denounce the GOP for their record of not practicing what they preach).
