!. She's college educated
2. She's independent
3. She supports birth control
I'm college-educated, with an advanced degree, and independent, and support birth control. Just not FREE birth control. Yet I still think Sandra has either gone off her rocker, or is being paid very handsomely. I find very little admirable about her lately, actually.

Obviously you are not educated enough to know that birth control coverage by your insurance company is not "free."
sandra fluke statement:
She also stated that 40% of Georgetown Law School's female population suffered financial hardship as a result of birth control not being covered by the student health insurance plan, and that the lack of free contraception coverage in the university insurance plans would induce many low income students to go without contraceptives (wikipedia)
she wants free, and says girls will just go ahead and get pregnant if they don't get it.
how sad is that for a spokesperson allegedly dedicated to women? she is setting the women's movement back singlehandedly.
keep in mind that this genius's law school tuition was-- full-time: $46,865 per year and part-time: $33,500
per year-- and yet these women can't seem to figure out how to get 10 dollar a month birth control pills.

the dean of georgetown must be depressed.
What makes you think that the student health insurance coverage was free? It was almost $2k IN ADDITION to tuition (which, for most people is via loans). Also "cheap" birth control pills are typically high-hormone dosage and can increase your risk for breast and ovarian cancer.
Good try, but it doesn't pay to be that selective with your facts.

i am quoting what SHE said, so it isn't me being selective with facts (quote- the lack of FREE contraception)
check wikipedia, sandra fluke.
their tuition is almost 50k a year, so forgive me for not understanding the sandra fluke pity party.
She and her classmates who banded together to speak out are not speaking just for themselves, they are speaking for millions of women. As a conservative I understand why that does not make sense, as conservatives only think for themselves and their tribe, why people like Ms. Fluke are concerned with everyone involved, from the poorest to the most wealthy.
And this all started when Darrell Isa (R-CA.) chaired a committee on the issue of womens health and had 5 men slated to testify, not ONE WOMAN was invited, and Ms. Fluke was asked to leave. She left, along with other Democratic congresswomen in attendance.
The Republican women, being the good kept women that they are, remained behind to listen to an all male panel speak on womens health issues.
Of course it's not really "free", nothing is.... but apparently you've missed all the talk of many thinking it's free or wanting it for "free."
What are you babbling about? If there is universal health coverage, then birth control should be included. It's never free.
College education clearly isn't what it used to be.
