The claims last night that Obama has created 4.5 million private sector jobs seems to be a gross exaggeration.

CNN Fact Check: About those 4.5 million jobs ... - CNN.com

As much as the Obama Administration and the Democratic Partywishes it were not the case, there are fewer people working than when Obama took the oath of office. Almost four years ago.

Fact Check is a partisan source when it questions the Mommy Pants-in-Chief and the Gospel when it calls out republicans...

I don't consider any position that is paid for by tax dollars to be counted as "job creation"....it's dept creation!! Only private companies qualify as a boon to our economy...if tax dollars are used to pay salaries, it's a dept to us and our children.
Yes, some public jobs are required to run our governmental agencies, but the fewer of those jobs, the better for the country's bottom line!

its obummer playing on words...its not just jobs created..its jobs saved too

he personnally saved 4 million jobs from GM...to bad they are now going to mexico

this is how they count 'saved' jobs:

In June, the federal government spent $1,047 in stimulus money to buy a rider mower from the Toro Company to cut the grass at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Arkansas. Now, a report on the government’s stimulus Web site improbably claims that that single lawn mower sale helped save or create 50 jobs.

hmmm a 1000 dollar lawn mower is 50 saved jobs

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/05/us...ulus.html?_r=2

so getting a stimulas to buy a 1000 dollars lawn mower = 50 saved jobs.......more fuzzy math from washington

=======
In one, a Kentucky shoe store reported that it had created nine jobs with an $890 order for work boots. In another, a $7,960 contract for a “Basketball System Replacement” in Ohio claimed it created three jobs.

How do you feel about all the private sector jobs that are 100% paid for by U.S. tax dollars? Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, SAIC, etc. They produce nothing that the average consumer could buy and they are paid out of appropriated funds.
