I certainly hope you don't go around and tell anyone you're a "Christian," because you're clearly not. I also hope you haven't perpetuated the myth that you're "pro-life" either, because you're clearly not.
Okay, we get your point - now can you explain to me how it is that baby's fault that his/her parents are irresponsible human beings? Sure, the mother could put the baby up for adoption, yeah, we know - so many couples are willing to adopt, blah, blah, blah - and that's correct. Again, how is it that baby's fault that his/her parents don't put the baby up for adoption?
It's not a question of rewarding bad behavior, in my opinion we're not giving money to the woman, we're giving it for her baby and hoping that she does the right thing. I know that I don't have the heart to try and punish that innocent baby who is the most vulnerable and least culpable in these situations.
Today there are hundreds of birth control methods besides abstinence. There is absolutely no real good excuse for these women cranking out baby after baby sired by men who won't help support them.
Sure -- some girls apparently never learned how conception happens -- but after one "mistake", what explains five, six, seven or more babies they cannot provide for? Yes --- it's stupidity and it's being encouraged.
And no -- it's not just the babies that end up on welfare and food stamps -- these mothers are pushing out babies just so they'll never have to work for a living. It's time to put a stop to that -- women can work for a living. Having babies should not be a way to an early retirement. Just like working morthers get 6 weeks and it's back to work, welfare needs to be ended, give these unmarried mothers their 6 weeks and then they must get off their tails and work to provide for their kids.
our society is set up to help those in need through these programs. But if they ever follow-up on what they use this for they would be surprised.I don,t think we should give young unwed mothers food stamps, wic,or welfare. There parents should have to support them and help them find a job.The only job thet ever get after handouts is working the system.I am a Social Worker for 35 years and I am sicken by their attitude that what they get for free is not enought. They should stop having children on the working class. Not only do they collect welfare but they try their hardest to get SSI for the children clamining a host of issues and since the state is short of funds the psy are told to get them on their roles. They certainly find reasons why they can,t work but how can they take care of all those children thats a harder job. They made the choice not to use birth control so why should we pay the bill?
You are exactly right and should be complemented for your remarks.I too don,t care how they are going to take care of those children.Let them go to work like the rest of us.

And yet Republicans are screaming bloody murder that the Hobby Lobby should be able to dictate what medications, such as birth control or emergency contraception, that their insurer dispenses.
Let's see, don't want health insurance to pay for birth control (but Viagra is ok); don't want to cover the cost of the 'morning after pill'; don't believe in abortions and when it's all said and done - don't give a damn about the poor kid that was born.
More than the defense contractors and old people soaking up Medicare benefits they didn't pay for? Those "dependents" generally vote Republican.
Defense contractors and old people contribute economically to society.
Kids don't. They are a drain on the economy. Whether their parents are married or not.
