The total debt the wild spending idiots in Washington accumulated on my behalf now totals $136,260. The same goes for every household in the country. While I don't remember requesting them to put money on my credit card, the bill is there. I'm tired of having this weight on my shoulders. I'd like to pay it off. How do I go about paying off my balance and canceling the card?
Since this country has been out of debt for only a short, short time in its history, it is most likely to assume it will always be in debt. I would say either move and revoke your citizenship or die to close your book.
Otherwise you will always have a share in the public debt, my friend.

The problem with that argument is that educational institutions are subsidized in numerous ways by federal and state government so even working your little buttocks off didn't cover the full cost of your education.
I am all cash. The government is not. That's the problem.
