Life beginning at conception is a pretty dumb idea
So is the idea of life beginning at birth
Agreed. Too many zygotes do not even make it into the third week, much less the second trimester, if anyone believes life starts at conception, then purgatory is filled with billions upon billions of souls that never made it past the first few weeks of pregnancy. How could a just and compassionate God mean for that to happen?
Here's another logical/intellectual pitfall for this claim...
If you insist on life beginning at conception, then your all-knowing, all-powerful diety is the world's leading abortionist.
By far...
It is estimated that up to half of all fertilized eggs die and are lost (aborted) spontaneously, usually before the woman knows she is pregnant. Among those women who know they are pregnant, the miscarriage rate is about 15-20%. Most miscarriages occur during the first 7 weeks of pregnancy.
Yes, he is. The fact is human life can die, or be killed, at any stage.
Ask yourself, why would God give a soul to a fertilized egg that He knew was going to be naturally, and unknowingly rejected by the mother, and flushed down the toilet? Give God more credit then that.
The fact is the fetus at the stages most abortions occur is dumber than a box of rocks but still human life. Please, kill it if you are an irresponsible woman, or girl, who will not raise the child properly. Some humans need to be killed for the good of us all.

What does religion have to do with it? Assume I am an atheist. Do you think evolution is wrong also? Did our ancestral apes have souls? How about our ancestral jellyfish?
There are religious viewpoints that argue ensoulment does not occur until after birth. Are unensouled infants not human life?
Let's just stick to biology and leave religion and politics out of it.
So are you saying that legal citizenship determines whether or not the fetus should be considered human life? Right to life isn't given by citizenship, it's given by our Creator per our founding documents and is one of the inalienable rights given to all human kind.
What creator?
My parents?
Fairy tale creatures don't count.

Amazing how capricious this "Creator" of yours is at giving and taking that right away. You'd think that abortion would be right up his alley.
