Um, in 10 - 20 years you'll be feeling the unfettered full effects of socialist policies and I can absolutely promise you the color of your skin will not matter one iota as to whether you'll feel good about those policies...

Ah, so Hitler was a socialist?

A. Explain what you believe "socialist" to mean.

B. Explain Hitler's "socialist" policies.

You'll forgive me if I don't wait with bated breath after all those examples of liberals anyone who opposes Obama as "racist" and science books that speak of "individual lives" were never produced.

They obviously want plutarchy, but would this lead to fascism?
[sigh] Give the computer to mommy for a minute; I want to talk to her.

You don't see shady deals like Solyndra as much better examples of government cahooting with contributor business interests? That's much more compatible with Fascism.

It may cost them an election cycle or two, but I think it's their only chance to survive as a party.
Are there any moderate Republicans? I've yet to encounter one, other than Bill Clinton and Barack Obama (didn't actually meet them).

Please provide examples of "socialism" that have been created in the past four years.

BTW, would you consider Bush's drug entitlement program "socialism?" Did you whine about it being socialism at the time? For the sane people on this forum, can you imagine what what our cretinous right-wingers would have said if Obama created a new entitlement program and then went around the country literally begging people to sign up? Oh...the horror! Strangely, they barely said a peep at the time and simply excused it as a campaign enticement to seniors. You see, when Dubs creates a little bit of socialism, we must conclude he's really not a socialist. When Obama does something that is, by definition, not socialism, he just has to be a socialist.

Well, either way, fascism/socialism, if we see signs of things going either way for real (not just internet OMG speculative stuff), we will have no hesitation to leave the U.S.

Neither, myself like the majority of Americans like my politics centered.

Quite possibly the worst post that I have ever read on c-d; and that's saying a lot. Congrats.

Just had this discussion with my father the other day. With Snowe leaving, we concluded there were exactly none left in the Senate. Anyone who is willing to compromise or protect abortion rights or thinks tax increases should be on the table are "RINOs" to our Tea Partiers. These TBers would rather a Democrat win than a moderate Republican win the general election. It's unbelievable what has happened to the GOP. Ronald Reagan, with his amnesty for immigrants, his tax increases, his cutting and running from Lebanon would be cast as a liberal if you hid his name and just listed his positions, to the TBers. It isn't good for a two-party system when one party marginalizes itself to this degree.
