Uh, well, this is the political forum, you know. Technically, your thread doesn't even belong here. It's a question for the Religion and Spirituality forum.
No............it's called "Politics and other controversies", you've been here long enough to know that. Atheism is getting to be very hip and trendy these days and atheists are becoming increasingly vocal in politics.
Correct. You believe that there is no God. You can not prove your belief. You are a person of great faith.
Atheism is a faith the way bald is a hair color.
Lack of belief is not belief in a negative state.
Now I am positive that the subtle distinctions between those two statements is completely lost on you but other people will none the less understand. So don't sweat it.
So don't tax yourself with intellectual minutiae, but maybe try reading up about your faith because you aren't particularly good at it. Ask yourself, "what would Jesus do?" and if you think he would TOS someone reread he bible. Luke and Matthew.
No, we don't believe in any gods.
Can you prove there's no easter bunny? or unicorns?
You've been through this argument before.
Is it really christian to play dumb?
Hey ... leave the Easter Bunny (and the tooth fairy) out of this
I'll tell you what. Your personal attack is a violation of the TOS. I'll give you five minutes to delete it. If you don't I will report it to a mod. I will not tolerate your unprovoked hate. Your call.
Aren't Christians suppose to turn the other cheek?

Well then you shouldn't have a problem with me or anyone else bringing up Republicans and Democrats as part of the discussion.
I think some of the happiest people I have met may have been non-religious. Why does it seem that those that claim religious morals are the ones more willing to deny and disparage individual liberty for others, if they are so happy and willing to just be and let be?

You believe that there is no God. You can not prove your belief. You are a man of great faith. Don't run from your faith, embrace it.

I'm going to let you into a little secret ...... politics is not just reserved to those who believe in god. Now, I know that this will come as a bit of a shock to you but you are a big girl and you can handle it.
Think about it -- for the atheists, there's no meaning in life, nothing matters. To them all life is just some weird accident, it means nothing. They will die and be buried or cremated and that's all. There is nothing really to live for in the first place. There is nothing that matters, no ultimate Truth. They view themselves as nothing more than some globs of molecules that happen to be able to move around until they can't.
Lol!!
It is so sad that the only joy and purpose you can find I your life is what you find from a friend living in the sky. Atheists take joy in their families, the world itself, friends, and earthly joys. After all as you point out we only are assured of this one go round on earth.
You on the other hand so strongly believe in a paradise after this life that it must be a constant struggle to not step in front of a train to get to it faster. Right? Family, friends, good beach days, sunsets, and hiking (my favorite things) are just joyless compared to Heaven. I feel sorry for you.
