If you work for the public utility, you know it's union. If you don't want to be in a union you are free to work for a smaller company or start your own business.

Why is that so difficult?
You move to a state that is non union and then you can work wherever you want.

Rahm has done everything he can to get them more money. They are capped on property tax hikes and are $700 million in the red for school spending.

This is going to get ugly real quick.

Because those education costs are typically not applied to teacher pay.

Ah, common statement from a Republitard, drinking form the kool-aid much? Blame it on the teachers and then wonder why education keeps getting worse and worse as less and less good teachers want to teach any more.

Seems pretty valid of a statement considering they were complaining about people reading links.
Did you read any of these links or did you just post them straight from Drudge after reading all the shocking headlines? Which is typically what you do with your posts.

Maybe since schools were segregated for 100 years we should go back to that too?

Sometimes I wonder what planet some of you people are from
It would probably save enough money in diesel fuel to hire a few more teachers, and make the schools nicer.

The USA and every school system I know of (and CERTAINLY Chicago schools) have kept throwing money at education for DECADES.

If throwing more money at the schools actually did improve them, then who'd complain?

But the FACT is that the schools continually get WORSE while we keep throwing more money down the black hole that is our schools.

Liberals ALWAYS think more money solves every problem but the school systems are a perfect example of how it doesn't.

We are talking here about the best paid public school teachers in the USA!!!!!! Yet, obviously paying them more than all other teachers hasn't produced better schools.

I'm really not sure why that it relevant since I only asked the person complaining about people not following links will read those links.

But, as a matter of fact I did read them and found that the shocking headlines were a pretty good summary of the content. Everything in each headline was mentioned in each article linked.

How can you write this when Rahm Emanuel has been pressuring the unions since he took office?

There are many examples of this going on around the country.

It's REALLY REALLY wierd how the far left and far right here don't want to admit the truth that there are dems trying to do this.
