Is Sandia National Laboratory in NM supporting NM or this entire country? Granted it has a very large impact on the local economy but the products of that facility benefit this entire nation.

Liberal states vs conservative states, which are better? « The Godless Paladin

As other posters have stated, there are many factors that go along with collecting money. On the other hand, all of the blue states seem to have the highest taxes. hmmm Where would you rather live, a place that's collecting money with lower taxes or a place that's collecting less and has higher taxes? Seems fairly logical to me...

There are so many times, I try to read about things liberals talk about. I try to understand just how you think the way you do and honestly I can't. It is really just too stupid.

People who can no longer afford to live in blue states move to red states where they aren't taxed up the wazoo or the cost of living doesn't kill them. They take their federal money with them. Retirees, on Medicare, also move to red states, some for simpler reasons like weather and some of those try to make our red states like the hell-hole expensive blue states they fled, when they vote.

The question is if it's a chicken/egg or egg/chicken thing.

The sad part is that they don't even know it.

Thats why the list is bs. Every month or so another kook comes along and posts the exact same data, only to be embarassed because it includes purchasing, not aid..

For example, it includes the cost to buy oil from Alaska for the federal reserves..

Red states are welfare queens but they're still arrogant enough to try to tell us, the blue state people who pay for everything, what to do with our own money.

Why am I not suprised by the number of lefties who dont understand the difference between government paying states for a service, and aid? And yet you the nerve to try to teach us economics even though you dont know the difference, or tax policies, even though you cant provide anything worth the federal government buying from you.

I'm totally embarassed for you guys.. its like you're still in 4th grade.

So in your opinion when you have:

  • A state like Mississippi that receives a lot of federal dollars to maintain one of the largest river ports in the world that benefits the entire country.
  • A state like Nebraska with 732 miles of I80 that is the main corridor fro traffic traveling from San Fran to NYC
  • A state like Alabama that gets a lot of federal dollars for Aerospace
These are examples of welfare to these states regardless of the fact these federal dollars benefit the entire nation?
