After criticism, Obama administration walks back Cairo embassy apology - Spokane Conservative | Examiner.com
The Obama administration has disavowed a statement from its Cairo embassy apologizing to Muslims after coming under attack by thousands of protesters, Politico reported late Tuesday.
..
After the administration disavowed the embassy statement, the tweet was deleted from the embassy's Twitter page, Twitchy reported.
Four other messages related to the apology were deleted as well, Buzzfeed noted.

And here are the tweets that got removed:

As usual, this administration has no idea what the "right thing to do" is until they do the wrong thing, rational folks balk, then they walk it back. Rinse and repeat.

The consequences of electing a narcissist that is more focused on his golf game than doing his job.

Oh yes. By all means, let's all just hug it out, and it'll all be OK.

This has NOTHING to do with free speech...it has to do with being wise enough and discreet enough to know what to say AT THE CORRECT time....and NOT LIE!

That is the makings of a leader and MittsyBoy showed NONE of those qualities....no diplomacy skill ....he never needed any to lay off thousands of middle class Americans...

Oh geez. No one is saying he didn't have the right to say it. But he blathered before he had all the facts and now looks like an idiot.

Mr. Romney is not just anybody shooting off his mouth. He's running to be the next president of the U.S.--his words will be carried around the world. Blundering around trying to score political points in the midst of a delicate international situation and making statements before all the facts are known is not a way to instill confidence in his ability to handle crisis in a calm and reasoned manner. Even his GOP comrades figured that out. How many of them are backing Romney today?

He should have taken a page from Condi Rice's book. She understood what needed to be said, said it well, and then closed her mouth. Romney is such an idiot that he doesn't even know when he's being an idiot, and instead of backing off, he doubles down. If this is an indication of how he will handle foreign affairs, we are screwed if he is elected.

If thats the case, its like instead of underhand pitching to him, they set the ball on the tee...and he still managed to strike out.

The United Kingdom is an ally. Canada is an ally. Israel is the U.S.'s welfare state. Something the right-wingers on here should loathe.
Yeah, uh, are you really so naive as to think the Mossad doesn't help our FBI and CIA against terrorists? I haven't heard of the Canadian Mounties nailing any terrorists of late.
