They actually did not quite do a thorough job, they got the flags wrong at the DNC. In order to more closely match the ideology of today's Democratic Party, instead of displaying the Stars and Stripes they should have been flying the Hammer & Sickle.

That was my first thought, too. Maybe a subtle message to Putin about Obama's promised "flexibility" in his second term?????

Because of course. That's how politicians send "subtle messages" to each other. Back drops during convention speeches.

What better way than at a national convention that will be closely watched in Moscow? Can't then be traced to emails obtained by FOIA, can it?
