Here we have a Z-List oddball film the islamics are going nutty over and yet it's ok for them to burn our flag and make tons of videos beheading hostages.
Some people are just cowards and refuse to condem the acts committed in the name of radical Islam as evil. Much more fun to pick on the Christians...they won't cut you're frickin' heads off.
This serves as a perfect example of why the U.S. needs to unalign itself with Israel. There is no reason America should be so closely identified with that country, yet in the Middle Eastern mind we are one and the same because of the enormous deference the U.S. gives to Israel - and look at what happens. This is just one issue from one Israeli citizen - the government there is trying to drag us into war against Iran. It is high time the U.S. stop kowtowing to Israel!!
That said, in no way should anyone be punished for making an "offensive" video, or for speaking their mind in a way that does not threaten others. Just because many people in the world are like children unable to tolerate things they do not want to hear or see our right to free expression should not be infringed.
It's my hope that the countries where these violent protests are occuring will exert some order, and that the Libyans will capture those responsible for the killings. If the governments of those countries want to be seen as peaceful and responsible nations they will take swift action. The most substantial responsibility rests with Libya because they have attacked our country and killed our citizens so they must react seriously and appropriately.
Edit: Regardless of the actual identity of the person behind this film that doesn't change the underlying point: the U.S. association with Israel is so strong that invoking Israeli production triggers anti-American backlash. There shouldn't be any violent backlash against a film, obviously, but the fact that there is an attempt - by someone - to tie it to an Israeli, and whether that is true or false doesn't change the effect that such an alleged cause has.
Clint, please educate yourself further on the history of the middle-east. You think Israel is the big rival of Iran in the middle east? Walk over to wiki and check out Saudi-Iranian relations.....also factor in our relations with Saudi Arabia.
Eveything that goes on in the Middle east is not some Israeli scheme and if you'd been paying attention it turns out the guy isn't an Israeli citizen.

They immediately jumped on the "it must be the evil jooos" behind this event. And when confronted with the obvious hoax that a Jew had anything to do with, now they're going with the back-up plan: "well if the US wasn't so closely aligned with the evil joooish Israelis, we wouldn't be in this mess."

This guy was brave enough to make the film, but not brave enough to show himself in public...come on now...come out and adamantly support your film...make some public appearances to promote your film...coward....have fun looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life.

This thead has been cleaned up a bit but early on there were a lot of people rushing in to speculate that the whole thing is a jewish plot to get the US etc. to attack Iran.
I mean, imagine when Trayvon Martin was shot if a bunch of posters rushed in to say the whole thing was set up by the NAACP to generate sympathy or some such nonsense? What should we call them?
P.S. I'm adding you to the list of posters around here that has no clue about the role of the Saudi's behind the scenes in the middle east. It's sad when the uninformed always think it's just Israel out to get innocent little Iran.

The film was just an excuse for Al Queda to attack America an 911. If they didn't pull the film excuse they would have pullled up old pictures of the Reverand that burned the Qurans or something equivalent. They are animals (Who else cuts off peoples heads and video tapes it?).

What I find appalling is our media that is just hammering on this whole thing about this stupid movie, even making sure the world knows where this guy is living in California and posting his address and pictures of his house and licence plate online.
