He was 1 month old when his mother and father no longer lived in the same state. That's close enough.
Divorced in 1964 and remarried in 1965. Not much shuttling around going on in one year.
I don't consider legal marriage to be of consequence when a parent abandons his wife and child.

Obama's parents married in February of 1961. Obama was NOT born to a single mom. NOR was he raised by one with the brief exception of about one year between his mom's first and second marriages.

FALSE. They divorced in 1964. His mom then remarried in 1965.
I split with my ex and we didn't get divorced for almost six years after that.
Year of divorce is no indication of when a couple splits up.
