Oh but there are some out there that would gladly let our Government limit our Freedom of Speech to promote tolerance.

The guy is an egyptian criminal, so maybe they should consider returning him to Egypt.
I did not say he was arrested. I said he is being "interviewed". And do note, that there have been some out there, particularly on the Left, who have said he basically should be charged and blamed.

How is he an Egyptian criminal?

Either we have freedom of speech or we don't.

I have no idea why this guy needs to be interviewed - other than in the hopes of intimidating him and others like him.

Last time I checked, our nation granted us the right to be offensive - and that includes being offensive to ANY religion. Sure enough, if you took a dump on a cross or on Buddha, there would be no "interview." As soon as those who feel offended start acting violently, we quickly need to appease them and make sure it never happens again.

Freedom is not free. Sometimes there is a price to be paid.

It is an amazing thing to witness.

They would be defending the First Amendment if the film maker mocked Christianity or Judaism.

The word arrest appears nowhere in the thread title. The DOJ is looking into hate crime charges this is a fact. They are also looking into throwing him into jail for violating his probation for using the Internet although he was allowed to use it but only limited.

Actually they did..remember the crucifix in the bottle of p*ss ?
The USG gave that guy $15K to do that..our government funded that bottle of p*ss for $15K.
And then he went on a world tour to display that "art".

Yes there was outrage and protests. And yet, his right to free speech was defended in all places.

so there ya go. Selective Freedom of Speech.
The terrorist have won. The goal of terrorism is to invoke fear. And it has surely done so in some people that they are willing to give up some of their freedoms for it.

While I still dont believe all this unrest is about a movie alone, let's imagine that it is. SO WHAT?! If anything, they should put the guy into a protection program.

Yet our own government outed this guy and are now interviewing him. As if his movie is criminal?

Is this not the United States anymore? I have heard some on the left say that he should be charged. For what?!

Should we then charge any person who has mocked other faiths/people? Half of Hollywood and the media would be then charged.

This is disturbing that the FEDs are even interviewing him at this point. Yes, I have seen the trailer and my opinion is it looks like amateur stupidity. But that is not a crime.

Libs hate freedom of speech. I would expect nothing else.

When Muslims kill people over cartoons and movies, the problem is with MUSLIMS, not the creators of the cartoon or movie. When have Christians, Jews, or Hindus gone on a killing rampage over a cartoon or movie?

PS- The Crusades were 800 years ago.
