Sad and shocking recent events of riots due to anti-America in Egypt has spread throughout the Middle East!
If the U.S. economy isn't screwd up enough already,
the results or aftermath of these riots will make it even worst for America's future,
because there won't be any immediate solutions to this crisis!
The most drastic and immediate solution would be is to restrict Americans from
living or visiting all Middle Eastern countries and stop all foreign aid will be most effective!
Bring all of our troops home and heavily protect our own U.S. borders, international
waters and airspace! Prepare for another 9/11 or WW III.
Before painting all these middle eastern people with the same brush and raining harsh military or financial reprisals i'd find out the real source of the dissension, is it just small groups of anti Americans inciting crowds to riot in the streets? or is the Anti American sentiment really representative of an entire Arab population?.
This rioting we are seeing on the news media is very reminiscent of Montreals student riots that were a nightly occurence throughout the summer by thousands of students every night,The media could have portrayed this situation as the people of Quebec rioting against the government when in reality it was just students protesting higher tuition costs, government changed, tuition raise was dropped, no more nightly riots.
Oil is a commodity. If America stops buying from any individual supplier, other nations will (in aggregate) reorient where they get their supplies from, and the whole system will balance out... more or less. This is why the U.S. has to work so hard to get nations like Russia on board with sanctions against Iran - for certain kinds of goods, its only really coordinated economic actions that have any affect.

One way to reduce dependance on other peoples oil is to stop wasting it and instead of using 25 million barrels of the stuff everyday try to get that figure down to 15 million a day, however as soon as you start talking energy conservation a whole segment of society descend on the topic as being somewhat representative of socialist commie treehugger mentality/attitude and come up with all kinds of rationale to drive huge gas guzzling vehicles and live in homes that require huge amounts of energy to run.Perhaps along with the current thinking of only spending the money you have maybe just using the amount of energy you have should also be on the agenda...
