To me it is logical that from NOW until the election is the time to strike Iran for Israel.
#1 They know they have a friend in Romney and that there is a great likelihood that he will win in November. Iran and the Middle East also know Romney will likely act more responsible than Obama has with Islamic terrorist behavior.
#2 Jews also know they have no friend in Obama, but being Obama is trying so hard to get elected they know if they strike now that Obama can not do anything at this time to hurt Israel without losing lots of votes. So for Israel this is the best time to do their thing and have the least repercussions from it.
So between now and the election for Israel taking care if Iran is a win win...
That is my view anyway.
In the first place, it appears increasingly unlikely that Romney will win the election.
Secondly, few Israeli's outside of Netanyahu believe this President is an enemy of Israel. In fact, some of their most senior leaders have publicly said Obama has done more for Israel than most previous Presidents.
So, given that, I think your thesis is flawed.
HOWEVER...there's always the threat of Netanyahu acting before he's tossed out of office. His position is not secure and he's becoming increasingly distant from Joe Israeli. His policies are not wildly popular and this might be his last, best chance to do what just about only he thinks needs to be done to Iran.
I too disagree with your opinion as I believe your thinking is flawed. For one it is unclear who will win the Israeli election as well as the fact the Israeli Government (I am not sure where I read that) has said that it is not planning on attacking Iran in the immediate future. At this time also Israelis are preparing for the Jewish New Year, the Jewish Day of Atonement and the high holiday of Succot/Sukkot. So I doubt during this holiday period they are preparing to go to war as it is like Christmas to New Year's period in the USA (where one says after the holidays!). Also just before the American elections isn't a good period for the Americans either for a new war and enough Americans have been injured in killed in Iraq & Afghanistan and we don't need any more war where Americans can potentially can hurt.

Netanyahu has never said Obama is an enemy of Israel. Every time he is asked about the president, he says they have a very good working relationship.
The problem with our foreign relations and the current anti-US sentiment lie in the premise of this thread. The US election should have no bearing on Israel's plans or actions. But we all know that isn't true because the US has an unhealthy marriage with Israel. Citizens of Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen and other Islamic countries don't hate our "freedom". They don't riot because of capitalism or McDonalds. They hate our backing of Israel as Israel illegally expands settlements, assassinates civilian scientists and carries out an array of other atrocities in the muslim world.

I think you don't have a good enough grasp on understanding American politics and therefore you shouldn't be dabbling in international politics.

I agree that the American elections have no bearing on Israel's actions. The Israeli Prime Minister spoke this morning on "Meet the Press" that Israel is going by the Iranian nuclear schedule and not by the American elections. But I disagree with your assessment of the Islamic countries. The moderate Muslims like the American freedom but the Muslim extremists are anti-American freedoms and these Muslim fanatics are behind the anti-American feelings.
Hi, are you a US citizen, or representative for Israel? If it is former, why you want a foreign country to drag OUR country into THEIR war? If it is latter, you need to register as a foreign agent in the State Dept.
I am an American born Citizen.
Israel is still going to do what it will do.
What's up with the war mongering? You actually want US go to war again?
We may get there also, but I think Israel wants to pick a time to go in with the least interference.
I made the case that now until our elections would be that time to go in.

.
That explains Obama's 97% disapproval level in Israel.
