In fact, With the exception of John McCain, all presidential candidates in the last few elections were Ivy league grads. Is this a coincidence?

Well, it seems like they have to be super smart (Obama, Clinton) or super rich (Bush, Romney).

That said, I don't like the Ivy League requirement. Plenty of other smart people across the country too, but the presidency is a lot about wealth and connections.

Who says Obama is smart?

I like how you broke it down along party lines....so predictable

A much more truthful way of looking at it are the fact that the ones in control of finance in this country are usually Ivy Leaguers and they are the ones who really control this country so they make sure their fellow Ivy Leaguers get in the White House

And McCain was a United States Naval Academy graduate -- not Ivy League, per se, but on the same level.

You have to go back to Bob Dole to find a nominee that didn't attend an elite, prestigious college or university.

Ralph Nader is also a Harvard grad.

Why do you think they insinuated that - and why did you say they "broke it down along party lines?" The facts are the facts, stop trying to find conspiracy & partisanship (which you are guilty of too, btw) in every response.

Or are you saying Clinton & Obama were dumb/rich, while Bush & Romney were poor? Seriously?

Uh, no I am one of the few non partisans on here sadly..... you on the other hand are extremely partisan

There are no facts here that state that there is not a force behind it ..... the insinuation is that the 2 Dems got there on smarts and the Reps only got there because of money..... quite intellectually dishonest correct?

Would you not agree that those in charge of monetary policy are Ivy leaguers and that it is conveient to make sure that cronies are there in power as well? Makes it easy to manipulate money..... no matter which party has the presidency while the minions are told to bicker over petty social issues
