No offense but using this level of mudslinging is just weak. Finding a few small select of voters and trying to cast it against the whole base. It goes for both sides. I see it happen with people finding mentally challenged folks at Tea Parties and throwing it at all republicans.
I knew a fellow who worked a few months out of the year , had a wife and two kids , lived in a new very nice home , got food stamps, housing, and yes, got a huge check from the government called income credit. He would also steal clothes from the stores and bragged about it. He loved the system . He lived well, ate good and went to events .

Did you happen to notice that you can only get that tax credit IF you pay taxes...meaning you must WORK.

you only get the credit if you have income, not if you pay taxes. The credit offsets any tax that you may have had to pay. Since the credit will be more than the tax liability, you'll also get a refund.

You FIRST have to have an income (job) and you have to OWE a taxed amount in order to get the refund that exceeds the amount of tax owed.
