Tattoos are becoming so mainstream that I see lots of people with neck, arm and hand tats working at places that use to ban them. I see very classy looking women working as doctors, engineers, accountants and business executives with tattoos on their hands, arms and neck that are not covered up with clothes.

I wonder if the next step towards tattoo acceptance is a National Political Leader, or even a US President showing off their tats to the public. Mitt Romney showing off his new neck or arm tattoos to the press. President XXX comparing tattoos with other foreign leaders.

What do you think? If visible tattoos, not hidden my clothing, get that mainstream then maybe I will get one and not fear for my job or career.

I think we're a long way from that, although I am surprised at the durability of the tattoo fad. I keep thinking it's going to end, but it never does.
