Government handouts are okay, as long as they for me
Government handouts create dependencies, for the other people. The "not me"
Some government handouts people like
-15% capital gain tax versus the 35% that was common in 1972
- tax credit for your kid
- tax credit for education
- tax savings for HSA/FSA /depcare fsa plans
- mortgage deduction on taxes
Seriously -
Try to take away these things and suddenly the majority would be freaking out. . .
These are the same people who vote themselves "homestead exemptions" while voting to soak renters with high taxes, and then claim the renters aren't paying their fair share.
I'd rattle off a list of middle class government goodies and ask these people which ones they enjoy.
Most of the one's who agreed with Romney on that only want those subsidized systems that Obama is more comfortable with to change over to the ones Romney's more comfortable with, such as the military or roads.

Yea, that's what kills me. Everyone always wants to cut someone else's government, but never their own.
Americans as a whole are addicted to big government. They just can't face up to it.
It's real simple.....
If Obama wins again then this country deserves the disaster that WILL surely come.
