Wow 70,000 of our taxpayers money being spent in Pakistan! Wasted on obama/hillary blaming a film for the deaths and attacks!!!! There he is being apologetic again for Pathetic America!
Here is a clue ITS NOT ABOUT THE VIDEO IT WAS A TERRORIST ATTACK PLAIN N SIMPLE Idiots......
And it takes French news to report this
The American Embassy in Islamabad, in a bid to tamp down public rage over the anti-Islam film produced in the U.S., is spending $70,000 to air an ad on Pakistani television that features President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton denouncing the video.
A payment of $70,000 to get an audience of potentially 90 million ; in other words, potentially a little less than a tenth of a cent per spectator; is not a bad deal.
This must be done to counter the message of extremists in Pakistan that every single American is fervently anti-Muslim and the ways of the west are corrupt and profane. The uncertainty with this is how the Pakistanis will view these advertisements; with cynicism, with earnestness, or with closed eyes.

No. Its not our job to do that. Not our responsibility. No ads, no amount of money is going to change their attitudes anyways. This is seen as weakness and a sign of apology. Its up to their gov to deal with protests, not us. Don't even try to excuse this.
It's deeper than the movie. That movie was just a catalyst that set off the protests and violence.
Muslims are not as tolerant as everyone keeps saying they are as this has spread to 20 nations now.
It's not just localized to the ME anymore; it's worldwide.

Stop the U.S. aid to Pakistan. They'll get the message and we'll save a whole lot of cash. You know, for Julia.
We owe them nothing. No explanation, no ads, no apologies, nothing. Clear out of all embassies and say nothing. We don't have to say a word nor should we have to denounce anything.

It's not the $70,000 that is the problem. The problem is if we are issuing apologies. Where are the ads apologizing to America for the murder of our ambassador and denouncing the radicals that attacked our embassies in multiple countries? It won't come, those attacks are a result of deeply held, cherished tenets of their belief systems. It is part of how they define themselves. Just like that video is a result of our belief in freedom of speech. Our president should not be apologizing for one of the most important pillars of our society. It makes us look sniveling and weak - the goal of every bully.
"It is a Youtube video clip. Grow the f*** up and stop slaughtering people in the name of your silly superstition. Your pedophile prophit will get over it".

Is it an apology? I haven't seen a transcript; so, I can't deny or agree with this comment.
If we wish to be engaged in Pakistani society, we have to respond to the extremist message.
