It depends. If she practiced in federal court, she just needed to be licensed in a state, but not necessarily Massachusetts.

In any case, what are you implying? If she practiced law without a license, she would be censured by the relevant state bar. Was she? If not, do you think there was a big conspiracy to allow her to practice law without a license?

It must be true, because you read it on the internet, right?

Do you really think that a person would graduate Harvard Law school and not pass the bar and get a license? Really?

Let's apply Occam's razor here. Which is more likely? Elizabeth Warren graduated Harvard and didn't take the bar exam and get a license, and practiced law without a license for years.

-or-

some obscure website made up a story and a bunch of people took it as gospel truth?

And that the opposition candidates who would be investigating their competition for dirt didn't find that out....

Or the Massachusetts bar association.

She didn't graduate from Harvard Law school, she teaches there. You don't have to be a licensed attorney to be a law professor.

She used to be licensed in New Jersey, but she gave it up.

She has never been licensed in Massachusetts - the state bar has no record of her.

She's a bankruptcy attorney. If she's practicing in federal court, she doesn't need a Massachusetts law license, as long as she's licensed in some state, somewhere, and is admitted to practice in the federal court there.

If she were practicing without a valid law license, she would have been censured or reprimanded in some way. Do you have any evidence of that?
