Nice try. It happened in Lahore where Christians and Hindus practice honor killings and acid throwing attacks on women and there iarethe occasional honor killings and acid attacks on men.

Nice try to justify this - but honor killings is ingrained in the cultures of those people, not their religions. But, if you want to play this game (and hope you aren't called to task for it), note that the acid attacks and occasional honor killings you have mentioned (of late) have all been by muslims. This practice has been banned by the Hindu, Buddhist, and Christian faiths in that area (although, the mentality still is sympathetic to it). Islam is the only religion of that area that has yet to ban it. CNN has a pretty good piece on this about 6 months (or so) ago when those girls were killed (in the US) by their father.

Does it make it a difference if its religious or ingrained? Because something is banned doesn't mean it is doesn't continue to happen, It still goes on in the obscure villages. I am not defending any one religion for barbaric behavior, just pointing out that it still happens. One act is as horrible as 100, no matter who does it and cannot be justified. You just don't get to read about it in the US unless it happens in the US. How about India where the majority are Hindu where such acts are banned, but continues in the outer villages.
