I know you believe you understood what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. -- S.I. Hayakawa

"Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so." -Ronald Reagan

San Francisco rolls out red carpet for the Clintons

June 28, 2004

"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

When he found that wouldn't work he did a 180 and became a moderate. Remember, Democrats have no problem changing skins; the issue is their core belief. No matter how much they revision their history, they are the party of the KKK, pro-segregation, social welfare, social justice/socialism, and professional panderers. They've never had a problem subverting rights, in the name of rights.

It must not be forgotten that Lincoln (the first Republican President and Great Emancipator) was assassinated by a southern Democrat, and MLK (a staunch Republican until his death in 1968) was assassinated by a Southern Democrat. How the Democrats have become the party of African Americans is beyond me.
