"President Obama is the first president in history to openly campaign for re-election on a platform of higher taxes. He has already raised taxes on millions of Americans, but he won’t stop there." Source

"[Barack Obama's] idea now. He's got one new, one new idea. I admit this, he has one thing he did not do in his first four years, said he's going to do in his next four years, which is to raise taxes. And is there anybody who thinks that raising taxes will help grow the economy?" Source

Amazing.

It's not from lack of effort, this president has pounded the podium repeatedly, to raise taxes, even after he forced to sign an extension to the Bush tax cuts, he is back out on the stump, screaming to raise taxes. I'm guessing, that Obama wants to raise taxes, what about you?

I'm guessing Romney doesn't know if the President has raised taxes or not and opted to hedge his bets and say both.

Some people call fees 'taxes'; other people don't have the sense to know what to call it. And yes, he has raised some taxes/fees that haven't yet taken effect.

Duh!

Of course Obama hasn't "raised taxes" in his first term.

The tax increases he has put into Obamacare, don't take effect until 2014.

That's not in Obama's first term.

It's in Romney's first term!

Unless Romney and the soon-to-be-Republican Congress repeal them, along with the rest of Obamacare, on Jan. 21, 2013.

Or Romney grants waivers to all 50 states. (57 states for you Obamanites. )

Romney said taxes aren't fees when he raised taxes 20% on Businesses and Corporations as Governor of Massachusetts.

Obama signed into law the largest tax increase in U.S. history within a month of taking office, putting an entire industry out of business.

Nobody can say that he hasn't raised taxes. Nobody. It's straight-up false.
