Are you old enough to remember 2002/2003?

Are you coherent enough to realize it isn't '03 anymore? Apparently not. Bush isn't sending troops back in to defend a Iranian backed group while at the same time supporting others to go after an Iranian backed group in Syria. You don't find this policy a bit contradictory? Apparently not. Continue to remain blind and scream about Bush because that is all you appear to be able to do. The ability to think is all that is needed in this case.

I find the legacy of Bush's huge middle east foul-ups to be extremely self-contradictory and of no advantage to the USA in any way. There is no smart or favorable move to make in Iraq now. That opportunity was lost nine years ago and had nothing to do with Obama. The whole thing fell into the toilet in 2003 when Bush invaded with no plan on how to build a post-Saddam nation. Predictably, it fell into chaos and violence and has now settled into deep resentment against us for making such a huge mess of the whole affair.

If you can find a nugget of gold in the pile of crap that Bush left us in Iraq and Afghanistan, then show it. We're there because Bush put us there. It's the simple fact. Your whining about Obama at this point is like rushing to close the barn door after the horses have gotten out.

DOH!

So what's the excuse for us STILL being there and for Obama sending more Americans to die for no reason at all?

Exactly. They'll condemn Bush for sending troops but now that Obama is sending them there, they're swooning in adoration. No critique whatsoever, to them Obama is like a god, can do no wrong.

Obama even knows there is no WMD there -- so Obama has absolutely no excuse for sending our guys to be killed there. Just like he's sending many thousands to Afghanistan knowing full well many will be killed and there's nothing to justify sending them.

Bush sent in troops to "liberate" Iraq which we knew meant handing it over to Shiites. Maybe Bush didn't, as it's been reported that he didn't know what Sunnis and Shiites were when he took office. But the rest of us knew what it meant.

If Bush didn't screw up our Syria policy, it's because nothing was happening in Syria at the time.

That's Obama's policy on how to cut defense funding.

Congress Grants Bush War Powers Against Iraq

President Bush turns his attention on Friday to the United Nations after the Senate joined the House in strong votes authorizing a possible U.S. attack on Iraq.

The Republican-led House and Democratic-led Senate by wide margins approved the resolution that Bush wanted to reinforce his demand that the U.N. Security Council threaten the use of force,
That is how.
