Taxes - I would only pay more under Romney's proposed plan, so I'm not sure what answer you want there. That said, my sense of freedom is not tied to my tax rate.
Regs - I can't actually think of any regulations that stop me from doing anything I want to do. Perhaps you can be more specific.

freedom to develop the land one owns
freedom of speech
freedom to transfer one's assets to whom or wherever they want
freedom to refuse to purchase healthcare if I want
freedom to eat what foods I want
freedom to buy any firearms I want
freedom to buy my electrical power from whatever source I want (coal, nuclear, whatever...)
freedom to drive a gas guzzler if I want
freedom to participate or not in federal socialized programs (medicare and social security)
freedom to say what I want on the internet without being reported to a federal "snitch" program
freedom to not be observed against my will by drones
That is just for starters.
Now can any liberal tell me how increasing regulations increases your freedom?

So, given your apparent hatred of all regulation would you also like the freedom to:
Fly on an airliner unburdened by any regulations as to structural integrity, reliability, maintenance requirements?
Drink water unburdened by any purity regulations?
Purchase stocks unburdened by any regulation designed to protect consumers?
Drive you gas guzzler produced by a company unburdened by any regulations as to safety,durability of the vehicle or whether its producer will be required to support it with a future parts supply?
Drive your gas guzzler surrounded by the unregulated who may/may not have at least a clue as to what they're doing?
Have a neighbor who's free to develop his property however he wants, unburdened by any regulation that protects his neighbors?
Buy gas for your gas guzzler that may/may not damage your engine with its unregulated content?
Fly in an airliner piloted by someone who may/may not be competent at his unregulated job?
Take medications that may/may not be harmful in their unregulated/untested form?
Eat food that may/may not be safe in its unregulated form?
Etc., etc., etc.,etc.......................................... ....................................

Typical liberal- you do not know any conservatives. How many minorities do you have in your family? We have several- I suspect you have none.
I have nothing against blacks, hispanics, immigrants, civil Muslims, civil rights, or the poor
I do have something against liberals (none are allowed in my house), radical Muslims and welfare leeches
Now can you tell me how increases in the size of the government, increased involvement of the government in your life, and increased regulations INCREASES your freedom?
Do you hate Christians and Jews? Most Jews are liberal, so obviously Jews would not be allowed in your house.
