Wouldn't global warming be a good thing? All the humans, or a lot of them would die and then the earth could recover.
I believe the science really suggest we are on the warm end of an ice age. It's going to get colder.
Not that I don't think we're ruining our earth, but we'll either die or figure it out, the earth will go on, life will go on. We are but 1 hominid species that haven't even been the most successful one to ever walk upright in the earth.
What happened millions of years ago, or what is happening on Mars ( There is no temperature history of Mars prior to 1970, but every time Mars has a major dust storm it warms)has nothing to do with what is happening on earth today. The warming today has NO natural causes, as a matter of fact the sun is undergoing a cooling period.... Climate reacts to whatever forces it to change, and today the only force for change is human activity.
The only truthful evidence mankind has on global warming is nada, zip, nothing.....
It is beyond unbelievable that mankind in it's supreme egotism thinks it knows what drives the planetary climate...
And people who state "they know" are gullible fools.....

Fact....global temperatures are increasing.
Fact....The oceans are warming.
Fact....the ice sheets are shrinking

Fact....glaciers are retreating almost everywhere.
Fact....high temperature events are increasing and low temperate events are decreasing.
Fact....Oceans are becoming more acidic, an increase of 30% since the beginning of the industrial revolution..
Uh, September 30th 2012 was 4 days ago, and the data you linked to covered a period from 2003 to 2008...So who is not working with the most recent science?

NASA scientists who are believers in CAGW and who have predicted an "ice free Arctic Sea" by 2015 because of global warming released a paper on Sept 12th 2012 (or there abouts) that clearly states Contitnetal ice is EXPANDING in Antarctica.
