As if McCain and the clown would have done any better by instituting austerity measures while invading Iran. Like that would have been better? Yeah, right.

Another typical straw man argument set up by a Liberal to desperately deflect away from Obama's HORRIBLE record.

So now they are blaming McCain too?

Seriously, why does the left continue to ignore the fact that we are far worse off than 4 years ago and heading quickly in the wrong direction? Every item from the OP is a fact and major economists are not predicting it to get better any time soon, especially with the First Buffoon and his minions in government.

We still have not felt the reprecussions of the QE measures which are falsely propping up the economy and make our country more vulnerable in the long run. Add in the massive debt and we are on the course for the economic perfect storm and yet the left continues to ignore it.

Let's just hope we have some reformers come in similar to these Republican governers who have taken over and are starting to turn their respective states around.

Let's pretend that"s true.

Why then is the Romney campaign incapable of opening up a commanding lead... or any lead at all for that matter?

Higher unemployment, higher deficits, higher debt, and higher food and gas prices. Lower income, less job growth, lower GDP, lower US Credit Ratings, and fewer investments.

Over yonder, our relations with and the situations in Iran, North Korea, Russia, China, Afghanistan, and Israel are all significantly shoddier than they were four years ago.
Just to those that only look very shallow. Bob Woodard stated in his new book that the economy was in worse shape than most people ever even knew four years ago.Our economy almost collapsed and everyone wants it instantly repaired and life goes on law de daw. Not so. Economists from all three sides have said that no one from either party can undue what was so long in the making.
As for over seas, life goes on and please explain how a Republican could have done better. Obama go Bin Laden. Ghadfi is gone. The leader of North Korea would have died anyway not matter who is Pres. Israel and Iran were coming to ahead anyway. Sure Netanyahoo is whining that he is being ignored. Isn't that what Israel has done to us in the past on several subjects. Time to rein them in.

If we take your position that things were worse than Obama thought, then that only shows his own ignorance. He CLAIMED he could fix it.

He re-iterated in 2009 that if he didn't turn around the economy by his third year in office, he'd be a one-term President.

Again, he posted a graph on the WH website (it's still there) which promised that if we passed his Stimulus Plan, unemployment would be at 5.2% by now.

So even AFTER he SHOULD have been well-aware of how bad things were, he STILL said he could fix it.

But ALL evidence shows that his policies have made things WORSE and ANY improvements came in SPITE of him, not because of him.

No....McCain has nothing to do with anything.

AFTER Obama's "recovery" and Trillion dollar Stimulus, we have EMPIRICAL evidence to prove that the economy got WORSE and not better.

when you say that "Obama made it worse"

worse than what?

worse than it was in 2008? Big deal. It was headed downhill and nothing he could've done would've stopped it.

worse than what another president would've done? No way to tell.

right, after the George Bush economic collapse, the economy continued to get worse for a while. It will probably not recover this year or the next, either.

what you don't have is evidence that Obama caused the decline from 2008-2012.
