Seriously, I don't get it. Is that what passes for Libertarian nowadays??
That would be a sane person who recognizes the obvious .... that as crooks go, no one does it better than bankers who must be watched and regulated like the thieves they've proven themselves to be since biblical times. That's why.
And, because of the very few real powers and obligations the Federal government actually has under the constitution, the responsibility to coin money and regulate the value thereof is probably the most important, and most neglected for the past 100 years.
It has been explained time and time again that being a libertarian is not the same as being an anarchist. I'm sure that pointing this out again will make little difference.
So Libertarians who want to get rid of the Federal Reserve are full of shyt anarchists and not true Libertarians?
You can have regulations on the banks and no federal reserve. It's silly to believe that everyone who believes in a general idea must all believe exactly the same thing.

Don't the Feds regulate the banks on a federal level???
I'm sure Romney wants the feds to regulate Wall Street, yet many Libertarians want to eliminate the Fed.
I see a conflict here.
Sure, just like many they will go with the one they decide is the lesser of two evils.
Obama hasn't fulfilled many of the promises the left believed he would but yet they will vote for him.
