The state of the American education system is so dismal, its not much better than having no education at all.

Another way to suppress education is by making college too expensive cost and prohibitive and out of reach for most people. As we all know, college costs have skyrocketed in the last ten to twenty years. The only way to go to college anymore is to be born to wealthy parents. Or be willing to drown yourself in debt for the next 20 to 30 years struggling to pay off your massive college loans. The biggest threat to authoritarian governments is an educated population.

She is a 14 year old girl that, despite her tender age, over the past 5 years has become a leading personality in the struggle against the Taliban in Pakistan's Swat valley. She has already received Pakistan's Peace Prize for her commitment and courage.
She has always refused to cover herself and continued to go to school and educate herself, things the Taliban just couldn't accept, so they put her on their kill list
