No. That's one reason I have a lot of friends.

To be honest, the only thing I feel passionate about is I'm sick to death of hearing about it. And my friends feel the same, thus we don't discuss it much.

The last several elections were interesting for us but this time around it's been so overdone that I just can't stand to hear about it anymore. I live in a swing state. I can't turn on the tv without seeing nasty political ads (often 6-7 per show, especially if you watch news or sports). We get political phone calls morning noon and night, and people knocking on our front doors at least once a week. And the worst part is the people harrassing us aren't even local--they're from Montana or Indiana or Arkansas. The last thing I want to do is talk politics with anyone else--except to say that I can't wait until it's over and done with.

Talking about politics with others becomes polarizing. People seem to have their minds closed to any change. If you don’t listen, read, or become informed about truth with issues and search out three or more sources your knowledge of any political issue is limited. You simply can’t discuss issues with someone if they don’t know what’s true. Few people fact check anything they hear or read.

Only 2 of them who don't mind and agree with me.

Otherwise I avoid.

I only talk about the presidential election with very close friends that I know very well and I know won't get mad at me if I say something contrary to their particular political beliefs. That's a very short list of people. I avoid talking about the election with all my other friends.
