He that is good art making excuses is seldom good for anything else"?

I think we all know who fits that one today but surely old Ben couldn't see this far into the future.

Human nature is human nature............Long before Ben, in Ben's time, and long after there will be irresponsible slackers that push blame for their own shortcomings onto others.

Lincoln said you could fool some of the people some of the time, but cant fool all of them all of the time.

Seems our current fearless leader lacks some rather rudimentary wisdom that most have known long before him.

YC.......

So Ben Franklin knew Mitt Romney wouldn't want to talk about his personal financial creativity and would do anything to avoid talking about it? Like that sweet $100 million trust fund he set up for his sons so they could avoid paying takes like the "little guys"? Wow. So the old dude Founding Father was psychic? Far out! Who knew?

(Guess we better not vote for Mitts if he's not going to be good for anything else. Thanks for the head's up, Roy! Good job.)

Of course, you managed to avoid the fact that the other candidate has blamed his successor for every mistake he has made and everything else not so hot for our government. I promised one of your leaner buddies to use only The Won to describe who you knew I meant. Why did you fail to say anything about all Romney's blaming of others? Do we both know the answer to that question?

Did you ever answer my question about what a "leaner" is? Sorry. So many threads, so little time.

Romney blaming others? Pretty sure that's what his whole campaign is based on. Blaming everybody but himself and his fellow Republicans for what's happened in this country the last four years. Never mind the fact that the economy went into the toilet while a Republican was President. Best not to mention that, don't you think?

So is President Obama The Won? So you're psychic too? Good for you Roy! Want to help pick some lotto numbers? My plan is to win big then call Mitt and ask him about living off the interest (put into a trust) so messy things like paying taxes is no longer a worry. I figure if it's good enough for the Romney boys it's good enough for everyone else. What do you think?

Oh, and the blame game? That's pretty much what every president has done since Truman. Now there was a president. "The Buck Stops Here". You know Ike didn't keep that sign on his desk, don't you? I'm assuming he had Harry pack it up and take it home to Independence when the Republicans took over.
