Because Christians ultimately do not walk the walk of what they believe.

Jesus called for private charity. Where in the NT does Jesus call on Ceaser to provide for the poor?

LOL! Would Jesus think it is a sin to have a government that cares for the poor?

No such thing as a socialist in the year 0-32 AD.

You never answered my question. Where in the NT does Jesus call for government to aid the poor?

"Blessed are the job creators for they shall inherit the Earth."

It's in there. Look it up.

The establishment manipulated Christianity. "Sell all your property and goods and take the money and put it in our bank..and let those come and with draw AS NEEDED" - To para phrase...well they did not fulfill their social contract- We in the modern world are forced through taxes you can deposit...but you can not with draw...Just as the church the Vatican- took 10 % for a thousand years- try going to the Pope and say you need to pay your rent or mortgage...You are going to get NOTHING- wealth is horded...

Lord of hosts or Christ is Lord as they say....LORD means keeper of the bread..the person in charge of making sure everyone eats and survives- now it means to LORD over- so they collect the common wealth and hoard it for themselves-and there is no longer any charity done through free will- people are force through tax to give to the supposed needy...even if the cause is evil- taxes are extorted...

Why Christian socialism failed is in the fact that the clever and shrewd and greedy saw it as an opportunity for personal gain- Just like socialism today- there is always a rich elite...Do you hear me Hilary?

Wow-

Another atheist lib trying to be clever.

Christ was apolitical. His Apostles made the same mistake you have- initially. The kingdom is not on earth.

He was not a socialist. He promoted charity, not forced redistribution.

"Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's"

Don't look to the organized religions to contribute more to your wallet. Go cry to your government that you want more money.
