This excellent article outlines GOP tactics.

Of Plutocrats and Plutocracy: 8 Ways America's Headed Back to the Robber-Baron Era

Do you think plutocracy can be prevented from being completely re-established in our country?

I really worry that this is the direction we will be heading in under a GOP administration.

With a few wars thrown in too as a boost for the defense industry and a distraction for the plebs.

Get the regulatory environment tipped fully FOR the corporation and AGAINST the worker, the environment and the customer - and then proceed to plunder at will.

Oh - and pay less taxes while they're at it.

No, considering the evidence of the stupidity that surrounds us in the society, much less being a mainstay in forums like these.

I think reelecting President Obama is a small step in the correct direction. One of the results will be the republican party will get so involved with blaming each other for the loss that they will split into the Big Money republicans and the God is Great republicans. This schism will prevent them from electing a plutocrat or a theocrat for quite a while if ever.

Without the plague of RWA’s we will be able to create a country with real equal opportunity, guaranteed health care and choice for all.

Small step, yes, but useless if we don't get influence of $$$ and religion out of politics.

I would like to see political advertizing time on radio and TV has to be donated by the stations as part of their operating licenses. Other forms of political advertizing would be limited by strictly limited voluntary donations added to the individual's income tax. This would effectively remove Big Money from politics. Removing Big Religion would be more difficult unless their donations were subject to income tax every time they mixed politics and god in their sermons.

Default Do you believe Republican Party-driven Plutocracy can be Prevented?

I honestly don't know.

It's already gotten a pretty firm foothold.

The south will make sure that peasants and Lords and kings come back unfortunately. I cant for the life of me figure out why some landscaper, farmer, plumber etc. would vote republican. The middle class is their enemy and the rest of the world knows it except the south
