Got it.
Even many of my catholic high school friends are pro-choice; even those with 9 (count 'em) kids.

The point is that anti-abortion fanatics very passionately believe that abortion is, by far, the number 1 issue to be concerned about in this country. It will never cease being the no. 1 issue with them until all abortion is banned.

Sucking the contents out of the uterus can cause problems.
Besides the obvious isuues created immediately afterward as with any other surgery, I have done histories on women who were infertile from repeated abortions. They admitted that it was from use of the procedure as birth control.

I would like to point out that some women also become infertile from giving birth. There are no guarantees in this life.

Ahhh the daily abortion thread

First...if you don't want or believe in abortion DON'T GET ONE...it's called choice.

Second, I for one believe life begins at VIABLE BIRTH, so my question again to all you who think abortion is wrong: BY WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO DICTATE MY CHOICES ABOUT MY HEALTHCARE? I ask this question over and over again in every abortion thread, yet I never get a creadible answer.

Everyone has a right to their own beliefs as long as it doesn't infringe on another.

Many men resent losing the market limiting effect of pregnancy. Some men and a surprising number of women also considered out of marriage pregnancies as punishment for having sex or getting raped.

Most of the anti-abortion proponents are after physical, social and legal control of women that dare avoid the pregnancy trap. They could actually care less about the status of the fetus. Actually I could care less about the status of the fetus as well. I care about the freedom for a woman, regardless of wealth or social status, to control her own body for her own reasons without interference by busybodies, prudes and preachers.

If I, as a man, had a similar situation I would not tolerate anyone telling me what to do with my body. I want that to be true for women as well.
Greg, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support, it's evident from your many well said posts that you support a womans right to choose and have control over our bodies and I as a woman thank you.

You do point out that there are now quite a few generations that don't know what it's like to grow up without that choice, they really don't have to think about it. I grew up in the 50's and 60's and started my nursing career pre Roe v Wade and I can tell you from first hand experience I as woman would never want to go back to those times as so many now seem to think we should.
